purpleduck at 08:11am on 06/05/2009 under domestic goddess, duckling, when jewish and catholic guilt collideArgh! I feel horribly, horribly guilty that I can't put up my 'other mother' for the night when she's in Scotland as I'll be expecting a sprogling to appear any day around then!
Yesterday was productive but very tiring so today will be more gentle poddling around the place doing small bits and bobs, and less with the trying to get everything done.
Typically the sun's out today, after having neglected to be so yesterday, so all my baby clothes are slightly damp and finishing drying inside due to the rain. Hmmph! I don't want to hang them all out again though so tough really! They'll be fine.
Might or might not order more nappies today. I do find it very hard to spend chunks of money, even when it's set aside and budgeted for as this is. I keep second guessing myself. I'm pretty darn sure I WANT these nappies and it won't be the end of the world if I find they don't work as well as we'd like to be honest as they sell on quite well, but handing over that much money is just scary! Need to reframe it in my head - I'm not spending it on me, I'm spending it on duckling.
Must get more icons. Neither of mine are really appropriate.
